If you're on the north end of Terrebonne Parish — up around Gray or Bayou Blue — and you're looking for martial arts, we're closer than you might think. We're not a Houma gym; we're up in Thibodaux, right on the Lafourche line. But for the northern part of Terrebonne, that's an easy drive, and plenty of our students already make it.
Where We Fit for Terrebonne Families
Let's be straight about the geography. If you're deep in Houma or out on the west side of town, you've got closer options down there, and that's fine — we're not trying to pull you across the parish. Where we're a real, sensible choice is the north end of Terrebonne:
- Gray — you're in good shape. It's a short, straight shot up to us, and we've already got a page just for martial arts in Gray that lays it out.
- Bayou Blue — you're right at the edge of our range, about a 15 to 20 minute drive. That's the borderline of what most folks will drive, but if you're on the Thibodaux side of Bayou Blue, we're well within reach.
Why People Make the Drive
The honest answer is the same reason folks come to us from Raceland and the outer edges: they like our program, and they feel like we give them the best value for what they're actually looking for. Nobody's driving 20 minutes for the closest gym — they're driving because it's the right gym for them. If you want a structured Brazilian jiu jitsu program and a room that trains to make each other better, that's what we're built around.
We're not the closest option for all of Terrebonne — but for the Gray and Bayou Blue end, we're an easy drive and worth it.
Programs for North Terrebonne
Whether it's you or your kids, there's a program that fits:
Come See If It's Worth the Drive
The only way to know if we're the right fit is to come in and take a class. If you're in Gray, Bayou Blue, or the north end of Terrebonne, the drive is shorter than you'd guess and your first week is completely free. Come see the room and meet the people you'd be training with.
