A New Face in Youth MMA Steps Forward
The future of youth MMA takes center stage at Caged Warrior Championship 37, and Jack Falgout is one of the young names leading that charge.
At just 16 years old, Jack is preparing to make his competitive cage debut in front of a hometown crowd at the Barry P. Bonvillian Civic Center in Houma. A standout wrestler from Vandebilt Catholic High School, Jack is no stranger to high-pressure moments—but this will be his first time putting it all on the line inside the cage.
What makes Jack’s story compelling isn’t just his athleticism—it’s his mindset. Stepping into the cage at this age takes courage, composure, and a willingness to face fear head-on. He’s earned this opportunity through relentless effort, and now it’s time to show what he’s made of.
Training Beside Familiar Names
Jack’s preparation for CWC 37 hasn’t happened in isolation. He’s been sharpening his skills alongside some of the region’s top young fighters, building chemistry, confidence, and grit.
That includes Paul Hingle IV, who returns to the cage at CWC 37 with his own rising reputation (read Paul’s full story »), and Ty Smith and Corbin Falgout—Jack’s older brother—who recently won tag team gold in a dynamic grappling showcase (see their CWC victory »).
These aren’t just teammates—they’re training partners who have helped Jack push through tough rounds and sharpen his cage awareness. The mix of wrestling, grappling, and striking that happens in these sessions is exactly what prepares an athlete for the unpredictable rhythm of a live bout.
There’s a strong bond in this youth MMA crew. They’re building each other up, pushing one another harder, and proving that this next generation of fighters is hungry for more.
Facing a Game Opponent
Jack’s opponent is a talented 16-year-old Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blue belt representing Empire MMA, a Ralph Gracie Jiu Jitsu affiliate gym with a solid reputation in the region. It’s a serious challenge for anyone entering the cage—let alone someone making their first walk.
But Jack brings a strong wrestling foundation to the table, combined with explosive athleticism and a relentless work ethic. His high-paced style and willingness to engage could prove to be a powerful weapon against a more submission-focused fighter.
This is exactly what makes youth MMA matchups so compelling—the clash of styles, the raw energy, and the sense that anything can happen. Jack’s mindset going into this bout is simple: stay composed, trust the training, and bring the fight.
What Youth MMA Represents
Jack’s debut isn’t just another fight on the card—it’s a snapshot of what youth MMA is all about. It’s the culmination of early mornings, hard rounds, and the courage to compete before adulthood even begins.
More than titles or trophies, martial arts gives young athletes the chance to build mental toughness, discipline, and a healthy respect for themselves and others. Whether they go on to compete regularly or simply take those lessons into life, they’re better for the experience.
Jack’s story reflects that. He’s not just entering a cage—he’s stepping into a moment where years of training and character development come together.
