Closed Guard — High Level Closed Guard

High Level Closed Guard Attacks

What To Think About This Week

The Lesson

This week completes Month 2. You now have the full Closed Guard Bottom system — Traditional Closed Guard, Elbow Trap Hub, Tip Sweep Hub, and High Level Closed Guard.

The theme of this final week is timing over technique. Every single option on this page — the clinch, the lumber jack, the spin under, the overhead — is available for a very specific window of time. That window opens when your opponent stands and closes quickly. Your job this week is to feel where that window is.

Drill each technique slowly first. Find the moment. Then build speed. The technique is simple. The timing is the skill.
