Mount Top — High Mount

Cross Choke to High Mount · Armbar · Defeating Armbar Defenses

What To Think About This Week

The Lesson

This week the three weeks of mount work come together. Low mount built your control. Middle mount built your attacks. High mount is where those two things combine into something your partner cannot solve.

The connection between the cross choke and the armbar is the most important thing to feel this week. They are not two separate techniques — they are one conversation. The choke asks a question. The armbar is the answer to their answer. Learn to read the question and answer without thinking about it.
